I found these photos on the perezhilton.com site. I thought it was interesting way to use the type by splitting the words up. This way of type seems to be the trend lately. Ive seen it used on t-shirts. I'm not sure if I really like this style though because its a little difficult to understand at first.

Type Map

I though this was a really clever way to use type. I believer its suppose to be a map of Paris using type. The person who made this does it all by hand carving out the letter. Its a lot like lithograph. He carves everthing backwards. I thought the end result looked really great.

Monroe In Type

This is a project I did for my drawing class. It took me a really long time to do. Each line is a quote from Marilyn Monroe. By darkening and erasing some of the letters it looks like Marilyn. I like it because the entire time I was working on it I was seeing it from up close so it wasnt until I was done that I finally got to see the image. I also added photos of objects in the shape of letters to spell out Monroe. My idea for the project was to make a image out of letter and letters out of images.
